Funding

The Urban Planning Post is a volunteer-driven initiative. While website development is provided free, third party hosting and web platform fees are necessary to keep the project online. The project launched in 2025 with financial support from individual APA International Division members. As it has grown, the Division has included the project into its workplan and provided matching funds to complement donor contributions.

The following are funding details by year:

2025

  • Jing Zhang, FAICP ($160)*

  • Antonella Salmerón, AICP ($70)*

2026

  • Krishna Shrivastava, AICP ($200)

  • Jing Zhang, FAICP ($60)*

  • APA International Division ($20)

*Direct out-of-pocket purchase (estimated)

Donation

The Urban Planning Post welcomes and appreciates your support. All contributions are processed through the American Planning Association (APA) accounting system to ensure transparency and proper stewardship of funds. Donations should be made by check, with the appropriate cost center noted so they can be directed to the APA International Division.

To help ensure smooth processing, please notify the International Division in advance so APA staff can anticipate and track your contribution.

If you are interested in supporting the project, please contact us at urbanplanningpost@gmail.com
